President’s note:

So much going on in Southwest Florida right now. In addition to the Presidential election yesterday for the country, we have some new leadership coming on board

with the Southwest Florida Chapter of the LPGA Golf Association.

While we take a moment to thank the outgoing officers, we know that the newbies have big shoes to fill. Look below at some of the new stars of the chapter: Bonnie Blanchard will be handling our non-golf events Sara Eriksson will be handling the Marketing/Website duties, Mary Kaye Rueth is transitioning into the Membership chair, and Janet Gordon is out new recording secretary.

Please be sure to put the Kickoff events on your calendar! The Quarry always puts on a great event and this year we are getting our game on!

Also, remember the CME is at Tiburon this month. Come out and watch the LPGA members compete in their last event of the year. Your LPGA Amateur membership entitles you and a guest to free entry to LPGA events.

As always, we have plenty of opportunities for those that want to be more involved. Please reach out to me if you are interested.

Season Kick Off Dinner Event:

READY FOR THE GAME!

The Quarry 8950 Weathered Stone Drive, Naples

Wednesday, November 13th 5:30pm - 8:30pm

REGISTRATION CLOSES FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8th

Please join us for our Annual Welcome Dinner, as we embrace the 2024/2025 season at The Quarry, Naples.

The theme this year is 'READY for the GAME!' so you are encouraged to dress in the colors of your favorite sports team!

The evening includes some special surprises and fun activities in addition to learning all about all the leagues, events and activities planned for the season. 

Meet the new Chapter Board, celebrate our Award winners, welcome our new members, recognize our volunteers and enjoy a delicious 3-course plated dinner with old and new friends in elegant surroundings.

Cost for the evening is just $50 inclusive of dinner, drink ticket, tax and gratuity, as well as extensive prize drawing opportunities with some wonderful gift baskets and special items that you’ll want to try and win! The dinner entrée is comprised of a chicken or vegetarian option so please note your preference when registering.

Register early and bring your guests who may have an interest in finding out more about the Chapter and are most welcome to join you. Cost for non-members is $55, and there will be special recognition for new members joining on the night!

Season Kick Off Member Golf Mixer & Dinner Buffet

Quail Run Golf Club in Naples Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 PM

Registration for this event will close on Sunday, November 10th.

Format is an ABCD Scramble allowing us to mix players of all abilities, new members, and those with longer tenure. You may select a cart partner if you wish, but not a complete foursome, as we want to ensure all handicaps within the foursomes even out as closely as possible. Register as an individual and we’ll pair you up according to handicap.

This event has been very successful in previous years in making new members feel welcome to the Chapter and promoting new friendships and is always a lot of fun, so please register early to avoid missing out as we can accommodate up to 40 players only.

Cost is $120 including 18 holes of golf, buffet dinner, tax, all gratuities, awards, prizes, and a guaranteed good time!

Please note, the Chapter is providing a small subsidy for this event, as the opportunity for our LPGA group to get a weekend day shotgun start with dinner buffet in season is rarely available, so we hope you will show your support and join us!

Come join us for our annual 4 Person Holiday Scramble event, to benefit the Pace Girls of Immokalee, with lots of fun and on course surprises!

Enter into the spirit of the season by dressing in your "Merriest" golf attire. Prizes will be given for the best team and individual costumes.

This event is open to members and guests, female or male (max. 2 guys per 4 some)

We have a 1:00p shotgun start and the cost is $110.00 for members and $125.00 for guests.

Price includes golf, taxes, prizes and buffet dinner and lots of laughs. 

You can sign up as a 4 person team, a three or twosome, or as a single and we'll pair you.

Please bring an unwrapped gift to benefit the Pace Center for Girls of Immokalee. A list / link of needed items will be published on our website closer to the event.

WARNING: This is a FUN scramble event with lots of props and gimmicks.

Please make plans to join us for winter league play

• Tuesdays @ Hibiscus - Sandy Bologna will be the Tee Captain for this league. The plan is to begin play on Tuesday, November 19 with tee times beginning around 2:30pm. In November this will be a Nine & Dine league but Sandy will be talking with the players about some possible 18 hole play - To Be Determined.

• Thursdays @ Quail Run - Peggy Meyerowitz will be the Tee Captain for this league. The plan is to begin play on Thursday, December 5 and tee times will begin at noon. 

• Saturdays @ Stoneybrook - Mary Kaye Rueth will be the Tee Captain for this league. The plan is to begin play on Saturday, November 9 with tee times beginning around 12pm

• Saturdays @ Quail Village - Kerstin Koenig will be the Tee Captain for Saturday play - to be determined month to month. November play is confirmed for 11/9 and 11/23 - rate is $70.00

the Chapter is charged a $25 fee for each disputed transaction 

We ask you to please be mindful of this - going forward, the $25 fee for disputing a legitimate charge will be passed on to the member
