Public gets early look at
RM 620 improvements
The Texas Department of Transportation shared its plans at an Oct. 10 open house for upgrading RM 620 from SH 71 to Hudson Bend Road.
Proposed improvements to ease congestion are:
  • Widening the existing roadway by adding a third travel lane in each direction;
  • Adding raised medians; and,
  • Adding a continuous bike/pedestrian shared-use path along the corridor.
Another open house and a public hearing are planned for 2019, an environmental finding is anticipated in mid-2020, and construction start is set to start in FY 2022.
