As fundraisers and nonprofit professionals, we are committed understanding our market place. What does this year's economic climate look like for donors? How is our domestic and international economy going to affect giving now and in the coming year? How do we best budget for economic conditions, and how business and financial growth - or lack of growth - may affect our asking, and our bottom line?

We are constantly asking those questions of ourselves, our boards and our donors to best get a sense of the unknown. But have you checked in on the state of our own industry lately?

One of the great benefits of AFP membership is that we have a dedicated team committed to understanding our own marketplace. Free to members and at a $79 fee for nonmembers is  The 2016 AFP Compensation and Benefits Report.
