October in Massachusetts
"I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion."
-Henry David Thoreau
It’s sweater weather, and in Massachusetts, that means fall is in its glory, bursting with the vibrant colors that line our hiking and biking routes and provide the perfect luminous backdrop to any fall outdoor activity. Like apple picking, strolling through pumpkin patches, or taking in farm-fresh harvests featuring cider donuts, pumpkin-spice treats, and seasonal craft beverages. You’ll find fairs and festivals, cider making, and fall farmers’ markets all across Massachusetts. Come see the blazing colors, feel the crunch of the leaves underfoot, and enjoy the cool season bounty. Your autumn adventure is made possible by Massachusetts.
