Nonprofit Know-How: Media Relations
on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. in the Whipple Auditorium at the downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library. Panelists will represent The Gazette and CBS2 Television, with Melissa McCarville, Communications Manager at the Economic Alliance moderating. Topics for the panel discussion will include: establishing relationships with the media, editorial calendars, news releases (timing and follow-up), story selection, and other tips in working with the media. Celebration of Community November 14
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation will host the Celebration of Community on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the African American Museum of Iowa in Cedar Rapids. Lindale Mall Invites Participants in Trunk or Treat October 27
As part of the Boo 'N Brew event at Lindale Mall on October 27, nonprofits are invited to participate in the Trunk or Treat activity in the south parking lot from 12-3 p.m. Cost is $25, and participants are asked to hand out candy, but also can distribute any promotional materials.
