AON/USHJA National Championships coming up!
The qualifying lists for the 2018 AON/USHJA National Championships are now available. Check the lists to see where you stand for a chance to compete in this exciting inaugural event, held during The Las Vegas National, CSI4*-W, Nov. 13-18 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

USHJA is also accepting late entries that meet the minimum qualifications for a section as space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. On-time entries are considered first. Note: All Hunter sections have spots available, so if you've earned points in your section during the qualifying period, you can still enter!

Join us in Tampa for the 2018 USHJA Annual Meeting!
Registration is now open for the 2018 USHJA Annual Meeting, presented by World Equestrian Center, in Tampa, Fla., Dec. 9-13. Join us for five days of educational lectures, committee meetings, networking and an evening of recognition during the Evening of Equestrians Awards Gala.

Those interested in attending can register online for a discounted rate of $100 through 4 p.m. ET on November 14. USHJA will offer a $10 discount to members who bring a first-time attendee when they register, so attendees and their first-time guest will pay just $90 each during early bird registration. Additionally, the first 50 people to register onlinew ill be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Charles Owen helmet!

The USHJA Foundation is seeking donations for the annual Silent Auction at the 2018 Annual Meeting. If you have something you would like to donate, please email foundation@ushja.org. Funds raised from the USHJA Foundation Silent Auction go to support USHJA Foundation and its programs.

Renew your membership for 2019!
The 2019 competition year starts December 1, 2018, which means it's time to renew your USHJA, USEF and affiliate organization memberships.

Don't forget! Effective Jan. 1, 2019, adults with USEF Competing Memberships must complete USEF's Safe Sport Training in order to be eligible to participate in USEF activities in the 2019 competition year. Read more about the new US Equestrian requirement here.

Exclusive member benefits! Renew your membership prior to your first competition to avoid Show Pass fees and to get exclusive USHJA member-only benefits such as discounts on travel, entertainment, hotels, news and information, and more.

Set it and forget it! Don't want to think about renewal every year? Take advantage of the auto-renew feature, so your membership automatically renews before expiring.
Looking for a place to ride with qualified instructors?
The USHJA Recognized Riding Academy Program acknowledges lesson programs, riding facilities, equestrian schools, and other types of educational equestrian programs that emphasize horsemanship, sportsmanship, promote safety and offer introductory hunter/jumper lessons.

If you're new to the sport, or if you're looking for a reliable facility that focuses on horsemanship and safety with a written curriculum, check out our listing of USHJA Recognized Riding Academies.

If you're an instructor, trainer or coach, apply to have your program listed as a Recognized Riding Academy, or renew your application by Nov. 30 to ensure your program is listed in 2019.
The American Horse Council Wants Your Input
The American Horse Council is seeking input from horse owners. Your responses will help the AHC identify ways to encourage greater participation in equestrian sport and determine what areas of equine health and performance need more research.
Inaugural USHJA Young Hunter Pony Championships Highlights
In its inaugural year, the  USHJA Young Hunter Pony Championships  paid out $18,500 in prize money and crowned six overall winners across sections divided by age and height. Ponies from across nine states were represented at the Championships, which were held in Wilmington, Ohio, on September 30.
