October 2021

Greetings!
I can’t believe it is October already. I have noticed that members are beginning to make their way back to beautiful SWFL. We are busy working on our Chapter schedule for the upcoming season. There are so many events golf and social events being planned, you won’t be disappointed.

I would like to thank Natalia Armstrong for her dedication and hard work over the past several years as our Golf Director. It was challenging at times, navigating COVID protocols, weather, and scheduling. Natalia did a fantastic job!

Welcome Michelle Riordan! I am pleased to announce that Michelle Riordan has accepted the position of Golf Director. Michelle has worked side by side with Natalia and has agreed to take on this exciting challenge.

I hope everyone will join us at our Kickoff event in November to thank Natalia, and welcome Michelle.

All members should have received the COVID Policy Advisory. Unfortunately, a year later, we are still fighting this pandemic. I would ask that all members please review the policy. As part of the LPGA Organization, we need to adhere to the mandate that is set forth.

Changes are coming to our event sign up page. Updated software and processes will help streamline your event registration process. We are evaluating costs and overall ease of use of available platforms. Once everything is in place updated information will be sent out to everyone.

I look forward to seeing everyone at upcoming events. Please mark your calendars for our Season Kick-Off on November 9th at Worthington, followed by a Season Opening Member Mixer Scramble on November 20th at Spanish Wells.
Have a great October!

Golf Tip:
Improve Your Putting
The first piece of the distance control puzzle when putting is to make consistent solid center face contact with the ball. Line up the logo on your ball with the target line and make your stroke. The logo should roll straight along the target line. If it wobbles, you are not making center face contact.
Practice putting on a yardstick to improve your stroke.
