Hyperion Bank completes $18.3 million recapitalization
On September 30, 2018, Hyperion Bank completed a capital raise of $18.3 million in new funds. This new capital will enable the Bank to make commercial loans up to $3 million, and create value for all of our stakeholders by delivering on a customer-focused “high touch” service model that strives to provide a better banking experience for our individual and business clients.

“The response to our recapitalization initiative was particularly gratifying, as it included original shareholders, new shareholders, institutional participation, and the Bank’s employees and management,” says Charlie Crawford, Chairman and CEO of Hyperion Bank.

We are grateful to our shareholders, customers and friends for your deposit and loan business, and for referring individual and commercial customers and prospective homebuyers to Hyperion Bank. We also welcome and appreciate your reviews on social media--please find links to our sites below.

The entire Hyperion Bank team thanks you for your business and support!
Get to Know Our Team -- Personally!
Since joining Hyperion Bank as a teller in May 2011, Chris has rapidly advanced in his career by becoming highly proficient in many aspects of bank operations. Shortly after starting his first job with Hyperion, Chris became a customer service representative, where he learned what he describes as the "front end" of banking. While he enjoyed helping customers, when he was offered the chance to work in the Bank's corporate office, his natural inclination to understand how things work led Chris to accept a position in Deposit Operations.

After working on the customer-facing side of banking, Chris was even more interested in the "back-end." In the operations department, he took every opportunity to expand his knowledge, and gained valuable experience in reconciliations and other banking procedures. When the opportunity arose, he became a Staff Accountant, and was later promoted to Controller.

"I like to learn as much as I can and get involved in every aspect of anything I do. I am grateful that Hyperion Bank offered me the experiences and opportunities to grow in my career, and to pursue my education and continue my professional development. I feel very supported here, and I enjoy working with our team so that we can best serve our customers," says Chris.

While working full-time, Chris earned an Associate degree in Business Administration from Burlington County College in 2014. Resuming his studies, he now balances work with courses towards a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance at Rowan University.

Chris was born in Ohio and moved with his family to Bordentown, New Jersey, when he was in middle school. He is now a proud homeowner in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Fun fact: Chris is a runner who has completed many half-marathons, and also enjoys kayaking and caring for his two Yorkshire Terriers. Since he likes to be involved in his community, Chris has shared his interests by volunteering at local running clubs and animal shelters. Want to learn more about our dynamic Controller? Email Chris
