2019 Pre-Fall Sports Update
The Fall Season officially arrives September 23rd! School is getting underway and so is the excitement of Fall sports. With Fall activities, we cannot lose sight of the importance of keeping our brains healthy. If healthy, our brains will energetically guide us through the season's amazing activities. One Hit Away is looking forward to this powerful time of seasonal change and stands ready to provide resources, education and support to those affected by sports-related concussions. One Hit Away thanks you for your time and generosity. We wish you health and happiness during this upcoming Fall season.

OneHitAway Ambassadors

Two OHA Ambassadors played a key role in spreading the word and educating fans at the SF Giants Game on August 8th.

The OHA Ambassadors around the country have reached over 850 High School and College athletes, coaches and staff this year. If you are a high school or college student that is outgoing and passionate about sports, then this volunteer opportunity may be for you!

HBOT is a noninvasive treatment that involves breathing 100% pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. The Nick Buoniconti Story

I’m positive that football caused this,” Buoniconti said in  “The Many Lives of Nick Buoniconti”   (2019), an HBO documentary. In an interview for the film, he showed his frustration with the halting speech that his dementia had caused.

In 2015 doctors told Nick Buoniconti that he showed symptoms of dementia. Two years later he agreed to donate his brain to researchers at Boston University.

More than 2.5 million young people suffer a concussion in the United States each year. The majority of students, parents, and coaches are unaware of the latest science about prevention and treatment of concussions. If not treated properly, a concussion may have lasting physical, emotional, and cognitive effects.
