TransLink Survey

TransLink is launching public engagement and announcing station locations for two future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes serving customers travelling in Surrey, Maple Ridge, and the Township of Langley. This is the next step towards implementing TransLink’s incoming bus-based rapid transit system that will provide fast, frequent, and reliable service through dedicated bus lanes, signal priority at intersections, and weather-protected stations.

Members of the public are being asked to rank which features will be most important for them, which will help TransLink advance BRT planning.

Join us on January 30 for an insightful discussion with Mike Farnworth, BC's new Minister of Transportation and Transit. Gain valuable insights as Minister Farnworth unveils his plans for BC's transportation networks and infrastructure, with a focus on Surrey and the surrounding region.



On February 26 you can join Mayor Brad West, Chair of TransLink’s Mayors’ Council and Mayor of Port Coquitlam, along with Mayor Mike Hurley, Metro Vancouver Board Chair and Mayor of Burnaby, for an in-depth discussion on the region’s economic future. The mayors will explore how their agencies are working together to align transportation and land-use planning, provide updates on key regional transportation initiatives, and discuss strategic plans to ensure sustainable growth.

Surrey Top 25 Under 25 Awards

The Surrey Board of Trade and South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce recognizes business—and community-minded people under 25 who work or are working on a business—or community-related project in Surrey and White Rock. The top 25 winners are annually recognized as role models for their community at an awards reception.

If you, or someone you know, fit the following criteria, please complete the below application by February 19, 2025.

Criteria:

• Must be working on/worked on a business or community project in Surrey/White Rock (including students) and/or;
• Must be working in the Surrey/White Rock business community and/or;
• Must be contributing/have recently contributed to a business or community related project in Surrey/White Rock and;
• Must be 25 years of age or younger prior to April 1, 2025.
