This annual community concert is a favorite with musical selections ranging from marches to show tunes and of course sounds of the season and sing-a-longs. Admission is by donation and audience members are treated to a dessert reception afterwards.
SANTA SHIP COMES TO ORCAS FERRY LANDING

The Orcas Island Lions wants to thank Ron & Mary Russell from the Orcas Village Store for providing the refreshments, San Juan County and WSF for the use of the building, Islands Sounder, Orcas Issues and the Orcas Chamber of Commerce for publicity and all the volunteers that come out to greet the holidays. OICMF LEAVES OF GOLD CONCERT AT ROSARIO

The concert will include works by J.S. Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, Paul Basler, and John Williams, along with familiar holiday tunes. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THAT JAZZ!

An Orcas Island Jazz Festival Christmas Concert lights up the holidays on December 22. Jazz virtuoso Martin Lund joined by vocalist Moqui Lund, pianist Jake Sele and bassist Paul Gabrielson. Tickets are $20 and available only at Darvill’s and Monkey Puzzle. Both shows expected to sell out.

FESTIVAL OF TREES AT ROSARIO RESORT

Christmas trees return to light up the lobby of the Rosario Resort decorated by local non-profit organizations. The Festival of Trees is designed to be a fundraiser during this holiday season for participating organizations. The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite tree by purchasing votes ($1 per ticket) throughout the entire month of December.

The Community Church is providing a warm shelter when temperatures go below freezing. This is a safe and warm place to stay for the night, with clean blankets and a mat to sleep on with a hot, healthy breakfast in the morning.
