CSA Day Offers a Second Chance
for New Year's Resolutions
Celebrate Community Supported Agriculture on March 4th
Are your New Year's resolutions already in the rear-view mirror? If so, you're not alone, but you still have time to make good on those resolutions. The Orleans Winter Farmers' Market is pleased to join other farms from around the country for the third annual CSA Day on March 4th, when you can join other like-minded people around the country who are committed to:
- eating healthful foods and preparing them for their families;
- supporting their local farmers;
- being kind to our planet;
- learning something new; and
- being adventurous in the kitchen.
CSA (community-supported agriculture) is a subscription to a season's worth of sustainable, locally grown produce that is distributed to members throughout the harvesting season. It is a form of investment that allows small farmers to continue growing on a scale that may not be sustainable without the CSA model. CSA members enjoy the quality of fresh fruits and vegetables for their family, while supporting their local farmer.
On March 4th, the
Orleans Winter Farmers' Market will host CSA Farmers from across the Cape as an opportunity for shoppers to learn about their offerings. Come meet your local CSA farmers, learn about what they plan to plant in the upcoming season and how your subscription helps sustain their business.

2016 marked Bethany Season's 20th year making soap! Their goal is to produce a "no frills" high quality soap at a price affordable enough for everyday use. Bethany Seasons soap is a
blend of saponified Coconut, Palm and primarily Olive oils. Essential oils provide the scents. Citrus zests and spices are sometimes added for texture, and a small amount of Grapefruit Seed Extract serves as a natural preservative. Their soap bars contain no perfumes or dyes. Packaged in small boxes for cleanliness and ease of ingredient labeling, the hand cut bars vary in weight between 5-5.5 ounces. A Bethany Seasons' bar will normally provide one person with at least four weeks of daily use.
