SPOTLIGHT

Dan Berger was born in Brooklyn and attended New York public schools as a child. He was fascinated with words, what makes things work, and spent a lot of time playing chess and singing in a barbershop quartet. He want on to study math at UCLA, and following some challenging classes switched gears to study journalism at Cal State LA. After landing a job as a journalist he covered everything from sports, weather, news headlines, business, and ultimately food and wine. He will moderate our seminar on Petaluma Gap wines and their Burgundy Roots at the upcoming Wind to Wine Festival. Here’s Dan's story.
