FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear PPRA Members,

The force that drives every nonprofit association is its members.  This year, our Board of Governors launched #Drivefor75, a multi-pronged effort targeting new members interested in joining PPRA. This week, we discussed a second membership goal for this fall: retaining our members.

Renewing and joining PPRA as we celebrate our 75th year brings many bonuses for career enhancement, including:
  • Networking with regional news media
  • Special training related to areas of expertise
  • Opportunities to be mentored by other industry professionals
  • Supporting students in communications careers

Our annual enrollment period has ended, but we are planning new incentives for current and prospective members. The Board is in the process of reaching out to lapsed members to remind them to renew with us. Please remember that if you are having trouble getting your payment completed online, our management team will assist you.

We will continue to offer membership discounts after attendance at our programs. We will also offer a signup discount for an educational program if you renew before the 75th anniversary - watch out for details!

Thanks to every member who renewed with PPRA and who plans to support our upcoming programs on influencers and thought leaders.  Each member can assist us in the #Drivefor75 by spreading the word about our supportive professional network.  Please don't forget to mark your calendars for the 75th Jubilee on Thursday, January 16 at the Bellevue Hotel (where it all began) and where your partners in PR will be waiting to greet you.

Don't forget to follow us on Instagram at  @PPRA_Proud!

Kind regards,

Deirdre C. Hopkins
2019-2020 President
