Updates for the Week of March 28, 2022
We have made it to our final nine weeks of school! Third quarter report cards will go home with students on Tuesday, March 29th. This provides a great opportunity for reflection and discussion about what students need to do to give their best efforts to finish this school year strong. We ask parents to support their student's efforts by checking assignment completion and grades in Skyward Family Access.
If you have specific questions about your student's grades, contact their teachers directly via email. All email addresses can be found on our school website. You can also reach out to your child's counselor: Fawn Goldstein (Last Names A-L) or Melissa Walters (Last Names M-Z) to schedule a parent/teacher conference. Finally, you can help by making sure your student is coming to school on time every day. Instruction begins at 9:30 am and students should be in their classes before that time.
FSA Writing is coming up for students on Thursday, April 7th. Testing will begin promptly at 9:30 am and students will be given passes with their testing location. 7th and 8th graders should make sure their laptops are charged. More information and reminders will be send out in next week's newsletter.
On Monday, March 28 our PE department will kick off their Step It Up Fundraiser. The goal is to raise money to buy new and additional equipment for our physical education classes. The students can earn awesome prizes including an invitation to participate in the "Day of Awesomeness" on May 23rd. Students will receive information in their PE classes on Monday. Information will be sent to your email address via Connect Messenger so students without PE can also participate. For more information or questions, contact your child's PE teacher or Mr. Holt at [email protected]
Our Theatre Department will be presenting Disney's Little Mermaid Jr. on March 30th, April 1st and 2nd. You can purchase your tickets ahead of time at TeachTix.com.
Don't forget to provide feedback about your experience as a parent of an Innovation Middle School student. Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey. We need at least 20% of our parents to complete the survey before Friday, April 1st. We are getting much closer to our goal!
We have a lot to look forward to during the final nine weeks of school. Be sure to read your weekly newsletters and follow us on social media for the most up-to-date information
