This talk will be a fast-paced tour of the German lands and German people over the last two-thousand years. From Roman Germania, to medieval empires, to the united Bundesrepublik of today, the definitions of “Germans” and “Germany” have shifted over time. After discussing place and people, we will take a look at German immigration to the USA. Where did the emigrants come from and where did the immigrants settle?

Reading Dragons and Friends Launch at

Pope County Library movie night featuring

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:

The Pope County Library in Russellville is launching Reading Dragons and Friends, a fun, trading card-based program for readers of All Ages and abilities that offers rewards for time spent reading. Skills develop at different rates for each person, so the goal is to encourage regular reading and support the joy of reading. Pick up a reading tracker and starter set beginning September 1.
