Your Quarterly News and Updates

Dear CFA Society,

It is time to conclude our Society’s 23rd operating year. We have had an eventful year this time. Our biggest effort as a Society this year was organizing the Nordic Investment Conference in Helsinki on the 27th March 2025. We received a good amount of funding from both the CFA Institute in the form of impact funding and also ample funding from our sponsors for the event (Pimco, Simcorp, PGIM Fixed Income, Nuveen and Goldman Sachs Asset Management). We thank our sponsors, the speakers, the CFA Institute, local Nordic CFA Societies (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) and our board and staff with regards to making this event possible. The event was considered a success with regards to the quality of speakers (overall score 4/5), the amount of foreign visitors (around 45 % of the total) and the total number of visitors (around 130). Next year the organizing Society for the event will be CFA Society Sweden.

The CFA Institute also organized their first Global Conference in Chicago, US in May (4th until 7th). The event brought CFA charterholders together from around the world for a packed 4-day event. There was a delegation of visitors from our Society attending the conference as well and we hope the CFA Institute sees it worthwhile to continue the tradition of organizing these events, because it is a great opportunity to meet with other CFA charterholders, exchange ideas and collaborate.

We as the board sincerely hope that you as the Members of our Society have enjoyed our events and other content the Society provides. Remember to renew your CFA Institute and CFA Society Finland membership for the next year if you haven’t done so yet. Membership provides you with several member benefits and access to local Society activities. CFA Institute member benefit descriptions can be found here  and local Society benefits here.

Next event is the CFA Society Finland Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 27th of August. Invitations have been sent by email and information can be found here. Please sign up and use your rights as a member.

Your Board would like to wish you all a very delightful and relaxing summer holiday! See you again in August!
