Deepa Srinivasavaradan, SPAN’s Director of Early Childhood Initiatives, participated in First Lady, Tammy Murphy's Maternal Health Awareness Day event on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the Children’s Home Society of New Jersey in Trenton.
SPAN’s NJ Inclusive Child Care Project also joined First Lady, Tammy Murphy and families at the Passaic Family Festival on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Over 1500 attendees received valuable resources and information.
SPAN's Community Health Workers on the CARES project also joined the Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern NJ at the Greater Newark Health Care Coalition's event, "Empowering Mothers, Ensuring Healthy Lives'' in Newark on January 23, 2024. We have a long way to go to ensure safe and respectful births for all families, but by working together, we are making meaningful changes in New Jersey.
