STEG NEWS, PROGRAMS AND INSIGHT
Affordable Housing Development
The buildings next to our office have been vacant for years. It’s so exciting to see the lights back on as construction progress thanks to Arbor Housing and Development.

This project preserves four historically significant buildings in the City of Elmira and will create 42 affordable housing units for families on this quiet side of town. We’re looking forward to neighbors and vibrancy!
STEG Engages Investors to Guide Marketing Efforts
During the STEG Annual Campaign ENGAGE 2026, STEG received feedback regarding community interaction and communication. As a result, STEG reached out to various leaders from local businesses that are leaders in our community to propose a representative to become a member of our committee.

The first STEG Marketing Committee Meeting took place on January 17th, 2023. Representatives from Wallin Insurance Agency, Labella Associates, Corning Community College, Hardinge, Incubator Works, TMT Gravel and Contracting Inc, Chemung Supply Corporation, Pyramid Brokerage, and Excellus were present.

This meeting was a first step into collaborating effectively with local like-minded business community members in an effort to further exemplify economic growth events happening right here in Chemung County.
