To address questions regarding the nutrition commitment progress survey and answer any general inquiries about the Nutrition Accountability Framework (NAF) platform, the GNR and the SUN Movement are excited to invite you to a webinar taking place tomorrow, Thursday, 6 June 2024. | |
Rome Nutrition Week: Collective action and accountability to address global nutrition challenges | |
This 4-7 June 2024 marks the first celebration of the Rome Nutrition Week (RNW). A coalition of Members including Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, the UK and the US, working closely with IFAD, FAO and WFP are hosting a series of events, meetings and discussions designed to increase the spotlight on nutrition and reaffirm the importance of collective action and accountability to address global nutrition challenges. SUN Movement Coordinator Afshan Khan spoke on a high-level panel entitled 'Putting nutrition at the core of sustainable development'.

Women Change the Game, Kirk Humanitarian and Partners Kick Off Contributions Leading up to 2025 Global Nutrition Pledging Summit | On the sidelines of the tennis Grand Slam tournament at Roland-Garros, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE), the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and partners gathered leaders from across tennis, government, philanthropy, the United Nations, and civil society for a series of events to take action on the most pressing health and nutrition issues facing women and girls around the world. In the face of growing challenges posed by unhealthy diets, all forms of malnutrition, and environmental constraints, the 2024 Global Food Policy Report (GFPR) — released by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) — underscores the importance of transforming complex global food systems to ensure sustainable healthy diets for all.

Global Resilience Report 2024: Safeguarding the nutrition of vulnerable groups in the context of polycrisis
Increasing inequities, conflict, severe climate events, economic disruptions, and the lingering effects of COVID-19 have culminated in an ongoing polycrisis that is undermining the nutrition and well-being of the most vulnerable and marginalized populations in low- and middleincome countries. The synthesis report was developed through a partnership between UNICEF, WFP, and the Standing Together for Nutrition Consortium, hosted by the Micronutrient Forum, detailing lessons learned as well as recommended policy actions to safeguard the nutrition of vulnerable populations in the context of polycrisis.
