Hello Georgia
Every time I drive over the Ringling Bridge and gaze at the beautiful bay waters, I smile, thinking how fortunate I am to live in such a beautiful place.
I love Sarasota and all it offers; I enjoy selling real estate here. Most of all, getting to know and helping so many wonderful people with their real estate needs. This newsletter is always written with you in mind. I want to provide information that you'll appreciate and benefit from reading. I welcome your input. It gives me insight into what topics to feature in every issue. Please reach out with your comments and suggestions or if you know of someone who would also enjoy receiving it every month.
This month, along with real estate information, there's an article on PopStroke, a new golf experience for the entire family opening at University Town Center. Also, one of my favorite non-profit organizations, Meals on Wheels, gives so much to our community. I'm proud of my husband, Vince, who delivers for Meals on Wheels every week.
Enjoy this issue!
With your expectations in mind,
Georgia

A Vision for a New Sarasota Performing Arts Center
The Van Wezel Foundation is partnering with the City of Sarasota to create a landmark for Sarasota: a new contemporary and state-of-the-art performing arts center for our community. It will be located in the heart of the Bay Park.
The Foundation has selected a team of global theater experts to plan the new performing arts center. They will also begin transitioning its name to the Sarasota Performing Arts Center Foundation. Additionally, as a public-private investment, it will launch a philanthropic campaign, to which the board has already committed the first $20 million. Other public funding sources will include state and federal appropriations,
The Van Wezel Foundation serves more than 58,000 students, educators, and families each year.

Volunteers Making a Difference
in our Community
We have a gem of a volunteer service organization in our community: Meals on Wheels of Sarasota. It's a non-profit providing nutritious meals, services, and friendships to 750 individuals in need in Sarasota County. Truly awesome.
More than 1,200 volunteers, including Vince Salaverri, help prepare, pack, and deliver nutritious meals daily to seniors and homebound individuals in Sarasota who cannot prepare meals or go to a food pantry or grocery store. Clients are typically isolated and live with physical or mental disabilities, whether temporary or permanent. The delivery area is divided into 48 routes, and meal deliveries are made by volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles and fuel.
If you know someone who may be struggling with hunger and isolation or would like to volunteer, please contact them at
941-366-6693.
