Turkey Trot 2025

The holiday season is officially here with the annual Springhurst Elementary Turkey Trot! Students took turns cheering and doing laps around the school.

The accompanying food drive, which became a part of the Turkey Trot tradition last year, was also a huge success and will go a long way to helping families in need this Thanksgiving.

Hooks and Needles Club Shares Holiday Sprit with Red Scarves Project

Middle school students are learning practical skills while giving back to their community at the Hooks and Needles club. The club is crocheting red scarves for donation to individuals who have aged out of the foster care system. The gift of the red scarves will help keep these young adults warm in the winter months and remind them that they are loved.

“I joined the club because I love knitting and crocheting,” said DFMS student Effy Knell. “But this is a really good opportunity to use our skills to help out someone who needs it!”

Middle School Performance "Once on This Island Jr." Available Online

Dobbs Ferry Middle School saw a monumental production culminate in an incredible performance of Once on This Island Jr. this season. A staggering 120 sixth, seventh, eighth graders and a few high school students shocked and enamored crowds with songs and performances that won’t soon be forgotten. If you missed the show or just want to experience the magic of this DFMS musical all over again, check out the complete performance by clicking on this link. We hope to see you at next year’s performance!

“Directing a Dobbs Ferry show for the fourth time has been nothing short of a blessing,” said Director Brandon Sealey. “Once on This Island Jr. continued to tell the story of love, heart and soul being poured out on the Dobbs Ferry stage. The cast showed a true embodiment of theatrical performance. The amount of passion and effort that went into this production was truly amazing. The songs, the dances and the storytelling were masterfully executed to create a breathtaking experience. Absolutely cannot wait for next year's production."
