Dobbs Ferry has seen some incredibly talented student-athletes stride onto its fields in recent years. Our students are setting records and taking aim at championships, and that energetic, competitive disposition is proving to be infectious.
“As of today, we have 368 students registered for a spring sport in grades 7-12,” said Athletic Director Andrew Klaich. “It is great to see so many students active and involved in the athletics program. There is such great energy to the school campus with practices getting underway!”
With hundreds of student-athletes participating in varsity, junior varsity, and modified spring sports, athletics at Dobbs Ferry has never been more active. As always, our student-athletes remain students first and foremost, as evidenced by the fact that every single one of our fall and winter sports teams were NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete teams, with at least 75% of each team maintaining GPAs of 90% or higher.
With the growing interest in athletic offerings at Dobbs Ferry Schools, the district aims to offer students a wide variety of sports to choose from. New this year is the Dobbs Ferry High School Girls Flag Football team, which started practicing earlier this week with 30 student-athletes registered. The future is bright for both the new flag football team and for Dobbs Ferry athletics!
