The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Office of Alumni Affairs and the UDC National Alumni Society will convene a Fireside Chat with President Ronald Mason, Jr. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

President Mason will be interviewed in front of a live audience of alumni and other members of Firebird Nation. He will discuss UDC's role in public education in the District of Columbia, the University's strategic plan, and the future of the UDC.

The University of the District of Columbia is honoring the life and legacy of legendary 1904 alumnus Dr. Edwin Bancroft Henderson, “The Grandfather of Black Basketball.” The Dr. Edwin Bancroft Henderson Memorial Fund Campaign was formed to plan and execute his enshrinement.

The next step in the campaign is to place a statue of Dr. Henderson near the sports complex that has been named in his honor. Future generations will enjoy the legacy of Henderson and the significance of our university.

This project is an alumni-driven initiative, and we need you to support the effort by making a financial contribution to the Dr. Edwin Bancroft Henderson Memorial Fund Campaign.
