The
Nonprofit Leadership Excellence Award
honors the leadership and accomplishments of the CEO or Executive Director of a nonprofit organization. Download the nomination form

Minnie Rubek Staff Excellence Award
recognizes a nonprofit staff member or team who has quietly gone "above and beyond" in their commitment and dedication to their organization and its mission. Download the nomination form

Nominations are due on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. The awards will be presented at the Nonprofit Party at the Museum, a new annual and free event for nonprofit professionals, on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. This year's party is at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, and the location will change each year.

Nonprofit Party Set For November 7
The Community Foundation and Nonprofit Network will host the Nonprofit Party at the Museum, a new annual event for nonprofit professionals, on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art's second floor auditorium. Community Foundation Announces Earlier Fall Grant Cycle
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation announces its third grant cycle of 2019 for local charitable nonprofits that provide services in Linn County. This year’s fall deadline has been moved forward, and applications will be accepted until Friday, September 20, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. CST. The earlier grant deadline is a result of input from local nonprofits and will allow organizations to plan their fundraising more efficiently. Find more information

Grants Seek to Engage Youth and Reduce Violence
The Safe, Equitable, and Thriving Communities (SET) Fund at the Community Foundation will make its second round of grants this fall, and the aim is to improve community safety. The SET Fund, which was established in the fall of 2018 by the City of Cedar Rapids, Linn County, and the Cedar Rapids Community School District, grew from the recommendations of the SET Task Force in a 2017 report. Nonprofit Know-How on September 12 Promotes Inclusion
The Nonprofit Network will present
Nonprofit Know-How: "Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts."

The Nonprofit Network invites local nonprofit professionals to participate in monthly peer learning and networking groups. Peer groups are open to those currently working for a nonprofit organization. Peer groups are not designed for job seekers, students, or vendors (unless noted).
