TAP INTO WHAT'S NEW:
EMWD INTRODUCES LANDSAPES FOR LIVING
EMWD has launched an exciting new program for residential customers called Landscapes for Living, which includes FREE installation of water-efficient equipment, home consultations and rebates!

EMWD created Landscapes for Living to help its residents save money, water, and easily design low-maintenance front and back yards perfectly suited for their needs.

All residential customers with irrigated landscapes -- areas in front and back yards currently being watered -- are eligible to participate in the program and can recover up to 100 percent of project costs.

To get started, visit www.landscapesforliving.emwd.org to view available rebates and free services and choose the right combination for your yard.
EXCITING CHANGES ARE
COMING TO MYACCOUNT!

EMWD will soon be introducing new features to its MyAccount customer portal that will further enhance the customer service experience.

In the coming months, new self-service options will allow customers to sign up for level-payment plans, transfer service from one property to another, and calculate water budgets.

Customers will be able to sign up for text or email alerts about billing, continuous usage warnings, water budget thresholds and more.

Be sure to check out MyAccount in the coming weeks to see all the exciting new updates we have planned.
SCHOOL'S IN SESSION:
PACK THAT WATER BOTTLE

With students across the region returning to in-person education this fall, EMWD wants to remind parents that keeping your student hydrated throughout the day is important.

EMWD has Water Bottle Fill Stations at 114 schools throughout its service area. Students can bring a reusable bottle filled with EMWD tap water, then easily and safely refill it at a fill station with clean and safe drinking water at no cost.

The award-winning program has saved the equivalent of more than 250,000 disposable plastic bottles from entering landfills.

EMWD PREPARED FOR ONGOING DROUGHT
As California continues to experience worsening drought conditions, EMWD is prepared to meet the needs of our customers thanks to investments in a diverse and water supply portfolio.

EMWD has spent decades preparing for the cyclical nature of droughts. Investments that have prepared our area for statewide droughts include an industry-leading recycled water program, expanding our groundwater desalination facilities, groundwater replenishment, and investments in local groundwater supplies through our Groundwater Reliability Plus program.

EMWD is currently asking customers for 25 percent voluntary conservation. The best way to achieve this is to find opportunities to be more efficient with outdoor irrigation, such as using a weather-based irrigation controller or converting planter beds to a drip irrigation system.

For the latest on statewide and local drought conditions, please visit www.emwd.org/water-supply-status.
Answer:

Yes!

EMWD customers are eligible to receive funding to help offset the costs of removing grass from their front or rear lawns and replacing it with drought-tolerant landscaping. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is currently offering $2 per square foot and EMWD customers are eligible for an additional $1 per square foot.

Customers may visit EMWD's Landscapes for Living to view available rebate programs, sample landscape plans, and find a licensed contractor that has completed a specialized training program through EMWD.
