Help Us Celebrate Celebrate

National Arts in Education Week

National Arts in Education Week is September 9-13! Recognized by Congress in 2010, this week highlights the vital role of arts education and the need for equitable access for all students. Arts education sparks creativity, boosts critical thinking, and supports youth mental health by fostering resilience and belonging.

At Think 360 Arts for Learning, we believe that every student, no matter where they live or their economic background, should experience the transformative power of the arts. Unfortunately, there are big gaps in access to arts education in Colorado, especially in lower-income urban and rural areas, and we’re on a mission to change that.

Join us in celebrating and advocating for arts education during National Arts in Education Week. Spread the word and help us make a difference for Colorado’s students!

This month, we're pleased to spotlight our Equity in Arts Learning (EAL) grantee, Downtown Aurora Visual Arts (DAVA). Based in Aurora, DAVA engages diverse youth in free, year-round arts education, providing creative opportunities and strengthening the community.

The “DAVA Youth Film Program” expands their film initiative with the Community College of Aurora and Askkanwii Filmmaking Hub. EAL support allowed more students to join, connecting them with expert filmmakers and amplifying their voices internationally.

Students like Ikran, 15, a refugee, have been busy editing films. She shared, “I’m learning so much in Job Training...I’ve learned to be more comfortable with who I am and more confident in my teamwork and leadership.

DAVA will host a Youth Film Premiere on October 17, 2024, to celebrate the program’s success and its talented young filmmakers.

We are pleased announce that the Equity in Arts Learning for Colorado Youth (EAL) 2025-26 grant funding cycle will open in September. Letters of Intent (LOIs) will be accepted from September 26th, 2024, through November 22nd, 2024.

The LOI submission portal will open in September. Visit our Grants Opportunities page to learn more about EAL, review the full 2025-26 timeline, and access additional resources:
