We’ll kick off the conference with local government and community affiliates by touring the Carl J. Eckhardt Combined Heating and Power Complex on Thursday, September 18th from 9:30 am - 11:30 am.

Tour: UT Austin Carl J. Eckhardt Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP) 

September 18 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am


Join us for an informative and exclusive tour one of the largest microgrids in the United States. The UT Austin Carl J. Eckhardt Combined Heat and Power plant (CHP) is capable of generating 138 MW power (62 MW peak) and 1.2 million lb/hr (pounds per hour) of steam. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow energy leaders and explore innovative practices in action. To attend the tour, you must be registered for the workshop.

Resources to Accelerate Your Energy Improvement

Funding Opportunity: LED Retrofit Grants for Public Schools


Eligible K-12 public school districts can apply to replace outdated lighting with high-efficiency LED systems for both interior and exterior spaces. Applications due by September 19, 2025.

SECO Grant Now Open: LED Retrofit Funding for Rural & Community Hospitals


SECO’s LED Retrofit Program supports rural and community hospitals in upgrading interior and exterior lighting to high-efficiency LED systems, enhancing energy efficiency, safety, and comfort. Apply by October 3, 2025.

ACOG Public Fleet Conversion Grants Are Back


Cities, counties, utilities, and school districts can now apply to replace aging gas and diesel vehicles with clean, cost-saving alternatives like electric, hybrid, CNG, propane, or hydrogen. Funding also covers EV chargers and fueling stations. Up to 80% reimbursement available. Apply by October 31, 2025.
