THE FALL 2025 ACTIVITY GUIDE IS OUT NOW!

Play Naturally, Blue Springs Parks & Recreation's digital activity guide, comes out three times a year. The Fall 2025 edition is out now! Get all the information for fall sports leagues, holiday activities and special events through December.

BSPR WELCOMES NEW RECREATION SUPERINTENDENT

Daniel Sack has been hired as the new Recreation Superintendent for Blue Springs Parks & Recreation. Daniel will manage all things recreation within the department, including youth and adult athletics, special events and camps, as well as Vesper Hall operations. Previously, Daniel spent 14 years with the City of Wichita, Kan. Parks and Recreation Department as an Athletic Director.

SCHOOL OUT DAYS

Fill their days off of school with fun! K-7th Grade. Upcoming sessions: September 29, October 23, October 24 and November 4.

SPOOKY TALES & TREATS

Halloween-themed story time and snack-making. Ages 6 & under. Every Monday in October at The CRCRC.

RECREATIONAL BASKETBALL

K-8th Grade divisions. Practice begins mid-November. Register by October 26.

COMPETITIVE BASKETBALL

3rd-8th Grade divisions. Practice begins mid-November. Register by November 9.

FIELDHOUSE & FITNESS

STRENGTH TRAINING SEMINAR: BEGINNING TECHNIQUE

Perfect for those new to strength training. Upcoming sessions: September 20 and November 15.

FALL INTO MINDFUL EATING: NUTRITION CHALLENGE

Build simple, daily habits that support health and well-being. October 6-31. Register by September 29.

INDOOR TRIATHLON & DUATHLON

Time-based, indoor sprint distance Triathlon & Duathlon. December 7. Register by December 6.

AQUATICS

FALL SWIM LESSON SESSIONS

Registration is open for fall swim lessons for all ages. Upcoming sessions begin September 20, October 14 and early November.

PUMPKIN PLUNGE

The indoor waterpark is turning into a pumpkin patch! October 26. Register by October 19.

INFANT AQUATICS

Survival swim lessons for children 6 months to 3 years old. Punch passes available now!

SPECIAL EVENTS

GREEN UP THE BLUE: COMMUNITY CLEANUP DAY

Help keep our outdoor spaces clean! Volunteer to beautify parks, streams and roadsides on Saturday, October 4.

TOUCH A TRUCK

Experience the tractors, trucks and vehicles that keep our city and parks running! October 14. FREE EVENT!

BREW TO BREW .5K & 26.2m RUN/WALK

Train hard (or don't) and join us for the shortest race of your life with East Forty Brewing and Scout Coffee. October 18. Early Bird Registration ends October 1!
