To Our Wonderful Sisterhood Community
Joy and Light…these are two words that come to mind after our recent Shabbaton. It was a joy to gather with so many beautiful women of all generations on Shabbat morning. With months of planning, Sharona Rachmani, under the guidance of Rabbi Guzik and accompanied by Cantor Sugerman, brought her spiritual light to the services. It was a testament to the strength of Sisterhood women today and those who led us in years past.
This Shabbaton was especially meaningful as we honored Frances Katz, z'l at the service, followed a Menorah Dedication and luncheon chaired by Michele Gabai. Thank you to everyone who made this Shabbat a special one.
Sisterhood has commenced our 4 series Tuesday evening Kabbalah classes under the guidance of Rabbi Deborah Silver. In addition, we hope you will join us the evening of February 16th for Sushi and Sake when Rabbi Guzik and Carolyn Hoffman will converse about “Ways to Enhance and Invigorate our Intimate Relationships”.
The evening of March 16th we offer a Family Craft Night where you will have an opportunity to paint Miriam’s Cup in preparation for Pesach. Finally, we are starting to form a committee for our temple wide Challah Bake which will take place on May 4th. If you enjoy making Challah and would like to share in the experience of planning or volunteering for this event, please email Marilyn Stern at marilynstern1@yahoo.com.
Our Sisterhood Community has many opportunities for learning and volunteering. If you are interested in finding out more, please reach out to Co-Presidents, Cici Hallegua at cicih2004@yahoo.com or Shan Farahi at shanfarahi@gmail.com.
Looking forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!
