National Children's Dental Health Month
Cavities (also known as caries or tooth decay) are one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood in the United States. Untreated cavities cause pain and infection that may lead to problems with eating, speaking, playing, and learning. Children who have poor oral health often miss more school and receive lower grades than children who don't.
The good news is that cavities are preventable.
Fluoride varnish can prevent about one-third (33%) of cavities in the primary (baby) teeth. Children living in communities with fluoridated tap water have fewer cavities than children whose water is not fluoridated. Similarly, children who brush daily with fluoride toothpaste will have fewer cavities.
Join us on Saturday, February 29th for the 5th Annual Premier Children's Dental Day (Dade City & Spring Hill).

Premier Community HealthCare goes
RED for Heart Health Awareness
February is National Heart Health Month.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, but it is preventable. Healthy habits like getting enough physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, choosing healthy foods and drinks, and not smoking are all good for your heart.
On Friday, February 7th the Premier Care Team and community wore red to raise awareness about cardiovascular health, especially in women 55 and older.
"The effects of heart disease and strokes are long-lasting. Knowing your family history, learning the warning signs and symptoms is imperative to reduce your risk and improve overall well-being"
- Dr. Delisa Heron, Chief Medical Officer
