Why We Play

Every August, tennis legends and supporters from across the country come together for an unforgettable day on the court at SPORTIME Amagansett.

But while the tennis is world-class, the true purpose of the Johnny Mac Tennis Project Pro Am goes far beyond the game.

Every player registration, attendee ticket purchased, and dollar raised directly creates opportunities for young people who otherwise wouldn't have access to tennis, academic support, mentorship, and a pathway to college.

This is why we play.

Player spots are filling quickly, and we'd love to have you join us on Saturday, August 22 at SPORTIME Amagansett.

Play Like a Legend Clinic

With Patrick McEnroe!

August 6th I 7-9 PM

Before the Pro Am, join us for our brand-new Play Like a Legend Clinic on Thursday, August 6, at SPORTIME Randall's Island.

Led by Patrick McEnroe and JMTA coaches, the clinic is designed to help players sharpen their doubles strategy while getting a preview of the Pro Am experience. Plus, the coaches leading the clinic are available to secure as a doubles partner for the Pro Am!

Bonus: Register for the clinic and, if you sign up for the Pro Am within seven days, your $100 registration fee will be credited toward your player registration.

Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve yours today.

The JMTP Pathway

Your support doesn't simply fund a tennis lesson, it fuels an entire pathway.

Community Program

5,000+ NYC students are introduced to tennis each week through free programming.

⬇️

Excellence Program

Promising Community Program participants continue developing through advanced training.

⬇️

Scholarship Program

Top players earn full scholarships to the John McEnroe Tennis Academy, opening doors to college and beyond.

Walk the Pathway

One of this year's new experiences gives players and attendees the opportunity to literally walk through the JMTP pathway.

As you arrive, you'll travel through an interactive timeline showcasing how a child progresses from their very first introduction to tennis all the way to becoming a scholarship athlete at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy.

Every player you see on our Pathway Walk at the 12th Annual JMTP Pro Am started somewhere.

It's a powerful reminder that every participant in the Pro Am is helping create that journey for someone else.

Meet One of the Athletes You're Supporting

Josh Dolinsky

Seven years ago, Josh first walked through our doors as an eight-year-old from Brooklyn with a passion for tennis and a willingness to work.

Today, after years of dedication and the support of the JMTP pathway, Josh is one of the nation's top junior players. He recently earned a Silver Ball at the USTA National Clay Court Championships - an incredible accomplishment made possible through his hard work, world-class coaching, mentorship, and an opportunity.

Josh's journey is exactly why the Pro Am exists. Every registration doesn't just support one athlete, it helps create opportunities for the next child who walks onto our courts with determination and a dream.

Every event participant or supporter helps provide the coaching, educational and mentorship support that allow young athletes like Josh to pursue dreams that might otherwise be out of reach.
