The Spring semester is moving forward, with an important milestone this week. The first 8-week session wraps up this Friday, April 17 and congratulations to all students completing this term.
Next up, Session 2 of 8-week classes begins Monday, April 20, offering another opportunity to stay on track, catch up, or get ahead.

If a course isn’t showing on your Canvas dashboard, it may be a second-session 8-week class starting April 20. Double-check your course start date in WebSTAR or your student schedule to confirm when your class begins, as short-term courses often appear in Canvas closer to their start date.

Submit Your Work for the 2026 IVC Student Art Show
| | Imperial Valley College students are invited to showcase their creativity in the 2026 IVC Student Show at the Juanita Salazar Lowe Art Gallery. Submit original artwork created during the 2025–2026 academic year by Thursday, April 23 at 8:00 p.m. Selected works will be featured in a campus exhibition with a public reception on May 6. This is your opportunity to share your work, gain exposure, and be part of IVC’s vibrant art community. | | |
Student Art Show Details:
- Submission Deadline: Thursday, April 23, 2026 by 8:00 p.m.
- Eligibility: Open to all currently enrolled IVC students
- Accepted Media: Drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, digital print, mixed media, textiles, jewelry, and digital video (MP4, up to 5 minutes)
- Maximum Size: 48" x 48"
- Artwork Requirements: Must be original, completed during the 2025–2026 academic year, and ready to hang (matted/framed or wired as applicable)

This temporary closure is expected to remain in place for approximately three months into the Spring semester to ensure safety during active construction.
