Staff and Building Update

The church staff has returned to the offices and will be available during typical business hours (Mon.-Thurs., 10am-4pm). However, the building will remain closed as part of the church’s continued efforts to safely navigate the pandemic. If you are scheduled to meet with a member of staff or need to reach a member of the staff, call that person’s cellphone or the church office (208-726-5349), and that staff member will meet you at the patio entrance. On-campus meetings will be allowed outside only.

On Sunday mornings when the nave and sanctuary are open, please remember that the downstairs continues to be closed. We are not equipped to clean the entire building for health and safety purposes.

Thank you so much for helping us all stay safe!

Service Notes

A special thank you to all of you who have made our return to church run so smoothly! We will continue following the current format for the foreseeable future, all to keep you healthy and safe. Sunday’s outdoor service was especially well-received, so we plan to offer more outdoor services on these dates: July 5, July 26, August 9, and August 23. (Remember: for outdoor services, bring your own chair and hat, do not park in the Catholic Church’s lot, and arrive a little early, before 9:30am)

A Collect for the Search Committee

Gracious and loving God, we ask your blessing on the Search Committee and Vestry as they choose our new spiritual leader. Give them the gifts of discernment, patience and faithfulness. We pray too for the candidates as they discern their call. May this interim time and search process be for all of us a time of learning and growing in your faith and love. Grant us all the grace to follow where you lead us with joy, trusting that your plans for us are for good. We ask this in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Update from Senior Warden

We are nearing the finish line! The Capital Campaign has less than $90,000 to go. I know that still sounds like a lot, but I also know we can do it. If you haven’t participated yet in the Capital Campaign, please do so. Or, if you are able to give a little more, it would be much appreciated.  Thanks to all of you who have been able to participate so far. It would be wonderful to have all of the fundraising behind us as we greet our new rector.

We are getting closer and closer to completion of the rectory remodel as well as closer and closer to the arrival of our new rector. Completion date is for the end of July. The candidates who have visited so far are thrilled by the rectory and view it as a wonderful family house as well as a home where one can entertain.

The offices are complete and look beautiful. Once the church building has opened up again, you will all have to pay a visit and admire the new configuration, flooring and rugs, and fresh paint. A huge thank you to the anonymous donor for making this remodel possible. The staff are all thrilled!

With much gratitude for all that you all do to make St. Thomas such a vibrant and thriving community – even during a pandemic!!
