I have two amazing concerts planned for February!

Feb 5, 5:30 p.m. Brava Piano Duo

Two-piano concert by accomplished pianists from CSI - Sue Miller and  Allison Bangerter. Sue taught piano for the Music Festival for years, and played the organ here once years ago. I'm very happy to welcome them here on February 5!

Feb 26, 5:30 p.m. Arwen Myers, soprano, "Heaven and Earth"

Praised for her “crystalline tone and delicate passagework” (San Francisco Chronicle), soprano Arwen Myers captivates audiences with her timeless artistry and exquisite interpretations. Transmitting a warmth and “deep poignancy” (Palm Beach Arts Paper) onstage, Arwen shines in solo performance across the US and beyond. With outstanding technique and mastery of a wide range of vocal colors, Arwen’s dazzling oratorio and solo appearances feature repertoire from the baroque to modern day, and everything in between. Her history includes appearances with Portland Baroque Orchestra, Early Music Vancouver, Pacific MusicWorks, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra & Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. In 2019, Arwen was also nominated for a JUNO award, the Canadian version of the GRAMMYs.

Also this Sunday's evensong:

Jan 22, 5:30 p.m., Choral Evensong commemorating Phillips Brooks. Featuring primarily American composers, this month's evensong includes music by Horatio W. Parker, George Whitefield Chadwick, and Maxine Thévenot. Phillips Brooks is best-known for penning the hymn "O little town of Bethlehem," and we are singing another one of his hymns "God hath sent his angels."
