Basics of Trust Accounting-How to Comply with Rule 17-204 
This course will instruct participants on and test their knowledge of the fundamentals of attorney trust accounts in New Mexico, including (a) the proper operation of such accounts; (b) identification of records that must be maintained; (c) best and prohibited practices for operating a trust account and accepting retainers; (d) recording trust transactions in general and client ledgers; and (e) reconciling trust account ledgers with bank statements. Attend in person or by webcast on May 19 or May 25.

The Committee on Women and the Legal Profession invites all lady golfers (registration is not limited to attorneys) to a Golf Swing Clinic from 10 a.m.-noon, May 20th at Sandia Resort. The price is $70 per person, which includes instruction, rental clubs (if needed) and lunch. Register online.

The Solo and Small Firm Section will host Gov. Martinez from noon-1 p.m., May 9, at the State Bar Center. The Governor will speak to State Bar members on any lingering issues from the coming legislative special session and her vision for our state in the remainder of her second term and the future.
