Celebrating 20 Years of Business!
W&A Engineering kicked off its 20th anniversary celebrations this year beginning with our 20th Annual Community BBQ! Every year since 1999, on a Friday in May, the staff and their families of Donald W. Hansford and W&A Engineering come together to cook and serve plates of BBQ to their clients and friends at Harris Shoals Park in Watkinsville, Georgia.

W&A Engineering Announces A New Partnership With goBeyondProfit
W&A is pleased to announce its new partnership with the Georgia based non-profit, goBeyondProfit. This organization was launched by Georgia business leaders in 2017 and is devoted to giving Georgia businesses that are investing in their communities a platform to share their stories.

The goal is to inspire other business owners to adopt their own corporate generosity programs. goBeyondProfit believes that as businesses make significant contributions to improving the communities in which they live, work and serve, those actions should be recognized and celebrated, further inspiring others to follow their example.

W&A Announces Participation In Local Commercial Composting Efforts
W&A is partnering with LetUsCompost to reduce our use of plastics, styrofoam, and non-recylable paper products. After successfully diverting 480 pounds of waste from our annual May BBQ, W&A is now composting in-house thanks to LUC’s business services. May Report Card: 59 gallons diverted and counting!

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners Chairman John Daniell unveiled plans to decommission the sewage treatment plant on Rocky Branch Road and use the land for a community park that would boast more than a dozen athletic fields, a dog park, a building for indoor sports, pedestrian walkways and cycling trails surrounding two ponds. 

W&A's Corporate Citizenship Impact Grows!
W&A started measuring its philanthropic impact in 2016. Represented here is the collective impact of W&A and its staff on our communities to date, and counting. W&A’s collective impact grew by over 500 hours and $50,000 in the 1st quarter of 2019.

Impact hours come from the work of our dedicated employees with W&A’s Community Partners and Charities of Choice, the Firefly Trail communities, and personal charitable commitments.
