Class of 2029
Sophomore Class Update
The Sophomore Class recently completed an exciting Homecoming weekend, including the parade and dance! A special congratulations and thank-you to all of the class members who worked hard to design our class T-shirt and help with the parade float. Your time and creativity helped make Homecoming a success!
We also recently held a successful fundraiser at Chipotle. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the Class of 2029! Our next fundraiser will be held on Wednesday October 14 from 4-8pm at Freddy’s in Brookhaven. Please plan to enjoy dinner there that evening and be sure to mention SV Class of 2029 when making your purchase or order online using code GIVEBACK. Thank you in advance for helping us raise money to offset the cost of future class activities and events!
Finally, we will be holding open class meetings for any sophomore who is interested in helping plan upcoming events and activities throughout the year. Please listen to the daily announcements and check the class Schoology group for meeting dates and additional updates.
We look forward to a great year with the Class of 2029!

| | Recognitions: Staff Member of the Week | |
| | |
Mr. Meenan
Selected by: Mrs.Malone
Mr. Meenan is my pick for Staff Member of the Week. Mr. Meenan has had to put up with me as a neighbor since I started here. He tolerates my loud talking and bugging him for his key when I lock it in my room or just don’t feel like digging it out of my bag. He is so good with his students, and I admire the way the students hold him in high esteem. Mr. Meenan is someone students look up to, want to spend their lunches with, and some even want to have him hand them their diploma when they graduate. He definitely exemplifies what Ready, Respectful, and Responsible are at Sun Valley.

| |

Addyson is wonderful example of determination and perseverance. Addyson is always willing to challenge herself, work hard, and give her very best effort. Addyson's leadership skills and ability to make everyone feel included make her a valued member of our classroom community. I am so proud of the positive example you set for others each day. Keep believing in yourself and reaching for your goals!
| | | |
