Greetings Sun Valley Community,
Happy Valentines Day!
Sending much love and appreciation to the Sun Valley Community!
Speaking of love this past week we celebrated National School Counseling Week!
We are so thankful to our counselors; Ms. Foster, Mrs. Im, Mrs. Judge, Dr. James, and Ms. Snyder!
You should have received an email from them this week on how your student can meet with them. Please ensure you review!
As a reminder report cards for Quarter 2 / Semester 1 are now available to be viewed in Skyward. Please take a few moments to review with your student(s).
Here's how: https://www.pdsd.org/cms/lib/PA01000989/Centricity/Domain/92/Access%20Report%20Card%20in%20Skyward.pdf

FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH INFORMATION | |
This week, Ms. Ms. Lansberry has chosen, Mrs. Koehler as the staff member of the week. I have been co-teaching with Mrs. Koehler for two years and have loved every minute of it. Her passion for helping students and always encouraging them to do their best is unparalleled. Her humor, kindness, and compassion is seen in her teaching everyday. I am lucky to have her as a friend and colleague. Congratulations, Mrs. Koehler!

LUELLA MORENA
Ms. Turk has selected Luella for student of the week. She always brings a positive, friendly attitude to all of her classes, along with her very cool and memorable lunch bag. I can always rely on Luella to work together well with her lab group and to ask good questions that enhance everyone's learning. Congrats Luella!
| |
XAVIER HOWARD
Ms. Turk has chosen Xavier has student of the week. Besides his stellar grades on chemistry tests, Xavier's kind, cooperative attitude is an asset to our classroom community. He works together well with others, cooperates with his lab partners, and does everything he can to ensure he and his classmates thoroughly understand the material. Congrats Xavier!

NATHAN PANUSKY
Ms. Wessel has selected Nate Panusky for student of the week. As someone who teaches mostly seniors, it is rare that I get to know a student over all four years of their time at SV, but Nate is the exception! Nate joined the PBIS student team as a freshman, and instantly established himself as a leader. Over the years he has helped with fundraisers and videos, and it was his idea to re-name the team the Valiant Vanguards! He is involved in many clubs and activities, and truly embodies "Valley Pride." In my 4th period Brit Lit class, Nate is an active participant, and his sense of humor always brightens my day. I will miss him so much when he graduates this year!
| |
HANNAH WISSINGER
Ms. Wessel has also chosen Hannah as student of the week. Hannah is a valuable member of my 2nd period World Lit class. She is extremely skilled at analyzing whatever we're reading, and making insightful contributions to class discussions. She is highly motivated to do well academically, and goes above and beyond on all assignments . She is always happy to help, and asks how I'm doing every day! I admire her creative writing skills, and am lucky that she lets me read what she writes outside of class. She is truly a pleasure to teach!
