Welcome Back!
We are so very excited to welcome your students back for the 2023-24 school year! Together we will make this year the best yet!
We will be reviewing with the students the important concepts of the student and family handbook through the first few days of school. We highly encourage all families to also review our handbooks so you are aware of our policies and procedures for the year.
We will continue to raise expectations for students this year. The PBIS expectations of being Ready, Respectful and Responsible are ones we can all rally around and agree it is what our students need to be successful.
Students attending each day of school on time and prepared for 48 minutes of instruction per period is the school wide expectation. Cell phones/earbuds should be away during instructional time unless they are being included in the instructional practice at that time. This will be communicated by the teacher only. All teachers and staff will be reinforcing this expectation. We will also be reinforcing that hallways are clear during instructional times and that students are arriving to class on time. Finally, I would like to reinforce the expectation that if a student is having any trouble at Sun Valley it is either reported anonymously through safe2say or taken to a staff member.
Together we will make this a great year of teaching and learning!
Thank you for all you do to support our students as we prepare them for life!
Thank you,
Principal, John Paul Roskos
