Message from Principal Roskos

Week of 04/01/24 to 04/05/24

Hello Sun Valley Families! Happy Easter!

Welcome back from Spring Break!

Reminder, there is no school Monday April 1st (not an April fools joke)

We welcome students back Tuesday April 2nd at 7:30am.

There are only two weeks remaining in the 3rd quarter!

Please ensure you are having academic discussions with your student(s). Have them open up their Schoology classes and discuss their grades. Look for missing assignments!

Have a great week everyone and don't hesitate to reach out if you need any assistance! We are so excited to have a strong Spring!

STAFF MEMBER OF THE WEEK

KATHLEEN PHELPS

Mrs. Price has nominated Kathleen Phelps for staff member of the week! Mrs. Phelps is a superb teacher. I have been helping in her classroom for four years, and I like her methods of instruction and the way she greets the students with a smile every day. She is very organized and has the instruments required during lab time. She makes her classroom fun from sun dollars to holiday treats. I am extremely fortunate to collaborate with her in the classroom. I also look forward to and love completing the monthly challenge calendar. It reminds me to reflect and helps me stay organized. Congrats Mrs. Phelps, you are an excellent instructor!

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

COHEN ARTHUR

Ms. Hill has selected Cohen Arthur as Student of the Week. Cohen has been working extremely hard over the last few weeks. He has made a positive change and is really working to be a great student. I wanted to recognize his efforts because it is difficult to make such a change late in the year but he is excelling at this! He is a great kid to talk to and his friends would describe him as a loyal friend who always supports them.

ABIGAIL GUSTITUS

Ms. Hill has chosen Abigail Gustitus as Student of the Week. Abby has come far since her freshman year. She works hard every day and makes outstanding choices. Her grades are consistently strong and she is a dedicated friend. Abby is a hard worker both inside and outside of school and her brightness makes my day in the mornings.

KAITLYN FILLER

Mr. Komorowski has selected Katie Filler as Student of the Week. Katie is not only a good student in class, but a good person outside of the classroom. Her involvement in peer buddy, class committee and student senate should be looked up to by her peers. Katie is always looking to help others and makes this building a better place when she is here.
