Message from Sun Valley Admin

Week of 10/21-10/25

Hello Sun Valley Families!

As we work our way towards the end of the first quarter there is much for us to be proud of this school year. There are so many clubs and activities going on students have too many options on how they can be involved. Please make sure your student is involved in something and if they are having a hard time finding something that works please have them see an admin or counselor to help connect them to something that fits their interests.

We continue to ensure our school wide expectations of Ready, Respectful and Responsible are being met for all. Keep up the great work! We are very proud of how are students are taking responsibilities for their education!

Ensure you review all of the upcoming events in the boxes below!

Have a great week! Keep up the great work!

STAFF MEMBER OF THE WEEK

Mr. Komorowski

Ms. Starinieri's pick for Staff Member of the Week:

She writes, "I nominate Mr. Komorowski for staff member of the week! Ever since he started at Sun Valley, he has surely made a positive impact to the school climate. I admire Mr. K's classroom management routines and his ability to build strong relationships with students, while also being sure to hold them accountable. Mr. K always brings a comedic vibe to 5th period lunch... however, I would not want to see him if they ever ran out of French Fries... HAHA. Thank you, Mr. Komorowski, for your dedication to SV, constant willingness to help students, and for being a part of the "sun" in Sun Valley. Congratulations!"

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

PAYTON EVANS

Nominated by: Mrs. Koehler

Payton impresses me with her drive to do well. She has a very busy schedule with competitive dance and soccer, but she never fails to get her school work done. I do not have Payton in class this year, but she continues to stop in to say hi, let me know how everything is going, and usually has a story to make Mrs. Carr and I laugh.

ANNABEL PAPPAS

Nominated by: Mrs. Koehler

Annabel possess the positive qualities that we like to see in our students, she is ready, respectful, and responsible every day. She always has a smile and a kind thing to say. To say Annabel has a positive attitude is an understatement. Her grades speak for her hard work and I can not wait to see what her future holds for her.

JEREMIAH CRAIG

Nominated by Mrs. Malone

Jeremiah is in my ELA I class. He always completes his work and he helps out other students if needed.

KALEB VARELA

Nominated by Mrs. Malone

Kaleb is always on time for class! He is participates in class and completes work before the due date. He has a clear understanding of issues in and out of the classroom.
