Digital Hall Passes are Coming

Over the next few weeks, Sun Valley will be piloting a new hall pass system where students will request a hall pass on their Chromebook, and carry their school ID to indicate they are in the hallway on an approved pass. Groups of teachers will begin using these passes in late April and early May, and we anticipate using the system building wide in September.

For those families who have students and Northley Middle School, we will be using the same system that they have been using since earlier this year.

STAFF MEMBER OF THE WEEK

JOSEPH JONES

Mrs. Im's pick for Staff Member of the Week is Mr. Joseph Jones. Mr. Jones is an exceptional teacher who's always there for his students. His positivity and warm nature makes the classroom a welcoming environment where students want to be. He doesn't just teach math; he's also a mentor, especially for those who need a little extra support. Mr. Jones really cares about his students, not just their grades, but wants to see them graduate and be successful in their lives. I admire Mr. Jones for his dedication to education and to his students. He is always a collaborative and upbeat colleague to work with and Sun Valley is very fortunate to have Mr. Jones. Congratulations and thank you for all you do!
