ANNOUNCEMENTS

ATTENTION STUDENTS

Being on time for school is being in your first period classroom when the bell rings at 7:30. Once the bell rings, anyone who is not in the classroom may be marked late by their teacher.  If you swipe your ID in at the front door at 7:29 or before, and walk in to the classroom after the bell, you are still late to class and may be marked as late.

Once the 7:30 bell rings, if you have not swiped your ID, you are late, and will receive a printed late slip from Scholarchip. (This is the same procedure as has been done in the past, only the passes come from the computer and not the office staff.)

We will begin to meet with students who have been late seven (7) or more times to review attendance. Students who are habitually late will begin to receive consequences.

The Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy will be meeting on October 17th at 2:20 in room B247.

Science tutoring will begin October 9th. It will be held after school from 2:20-2:55. Please see Mrs. Wiest or Ms. Phelps with any questions.

National English Honors Society (NEHS) applications are available, starting today, outside of Miss. Mancarella or Miss. Starinieri’s rooms. Applications are DUE NO LATER than Monday, October 9th. Applications may be submitted in the “drop off” folders outside of B 58 or C 82. Please direct any questions to Miss. Mancarella or Miss. Starinieri.

BOOK DRIVE

The Sun Valley Majorettes will be hosting a book drive the week of October 9th. Please help us support Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) with books that we will donate to CHOP Primary Care Centers. The centers emphasize the importance of early reading by placing books in the exam rooms for parents to read to their children during well visits.

We will place a box in the foyer for anyone that would like to donate. Here are the criteria:

  ● gently used books for children ages infant to 10-yrs. old can be accepted and

  ● books in good condition

(Textbooks, magazines, activity/coloring books, religious theme, and violent/weapon theme books cannot be accepted)_
