CLASSES FOR ALL AGES 6:45-7:45

Adult Electives:

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Facilitator: Pastor Dusty

The Fruit of the Spirit is a phrase found in the Bible in Galatians 5:22-23. It refers to nine attributes of a Christian life inspired by the Holy Spirit living within them. These attributes are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Each of these qualities is important for living a life that is pleasing to God. When we seek the presence of God with humility and faith, we can experience true joy and peace from living according to God's will. The Fruit of the Spirit is something to strive for daily: a fruitful life in communion with God.

COUNTER CULTURE

BY DAVID PLATT

Facilitator: Pastor Josh

Counter Culture is a compassionate call for Christians to faithfully follow Christ into culture in ways that will be costly and rewarding. Join us as we follow this Pastor David Platt study that shows Christians how to become passionate voices for Christ.

GRIEF SHARE

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

  • Buy diapers and drop them off in the church office or have them delivered there.
  • Make monetary donations to the Diaper Pantry online or on Sunday mornings.

Tuesday Morning

Study Group

9:30-11:30

Social Hall

How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us? In these three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.

Systematic Theology

by R.C Sproul

8:00 pm, Social Hall

Utilizing resources from R.C Sproul, this study is intended to lay a solid foundation for believers who seek a better understanding of who God is and why He is worthy of our praise.

Tuesday Study:

The Book of Job

by Francis Chan

7:00 pm, Room 100

The world teaches us to revolve our actions, thoughts, and beliefs around ourselves. “It’s all about you!” we are encouraged to think. In the world’s philosophy, we become the author and hero of our story. But the Bible teaches a different view, one where another hero—the actual Author of life—takes center stage. In the book of Job, God asserts his preeminence and displays his power. Join Francis Chan in this eight-session series on Job as he explores the overriding truth that we exist not for ourselves but to glorify the God who deserves all worship and praise.

Bible and Life groups happen every Sunday from 9:45-10:30 am. Have you found your group yet? If not, check out this handy guide to our adult classes!

Join us on Friday mornings at 7:30 am as we pray together for those stricken with illness and hardship, especially those who have been diagnosed with cancer.
