July 2, 2020 Update: COVID-19

Attention Music Families!

Our 2020 Music Recital is this Sunday, July 26th at

Hart Recital Hall! 

There will be three separate performance times, 1:00pm, 2:30pm and 4:00pm. An email was sent out on Friday, July 17th with more specific details and your performance time! If you did not receive the email, call our front desk at 660.747.6133 to have it resent! Thank you!

As stewards of our community, we will be carefully adhering to the policy set forth by our public health leaders. Per the new health order in Johnson County regarding face masks, the following mask requirements are in effect at Center Stage:

• All staff are required to wear masks in the studio, including during classes and rehearsals. 

• Any guests and parents ages 5 and older in the lobby are required to wear masks. (We strongly encourage children of all ages to wear a mask if possible!)    
   
• Dance students ages 5 and older will be required to wear a mask in the lobby and to keep a mask with them during classes/rehearsals at all times. If dancers are doing an exercise in class that is stationary and the teacher is confident they can maintain physical distancing, the teacher will let the students know they can take off their mask for that activity if they would like to do so. When dancers are transitioning between activities, going across the floor, and running choreography, masks will be worn.  
   
• Music students ages 5 and older will be required to wear a mask in the lobby and to keep a mask with them during lessons at all times. Piano and guitar students will wear masks during their lessons. Vocal and instrumental students will remove their masks when singing or playing. Music instructors will wear masks at all times, except when demonstrating and during such time will maintain appropriate physical distancing. 

With this new mask policy, our staff will be carefully monitoring students and their activity level. If a student ever feels that they need to step out in the lobby to temporarily remove the mask, they will be encouraged to do so.

 

As situations & recommendations change rapidly, we will continue to monitor and evaluate all safety protocols in effect at the studio and will keep families updated!

• If you are already a CS music student and haven't talked with our front desk about setting up your summer lessons, please give us a call ASAP so we can reserve your lesson time as we continue to prepare for our Music Recital on July 26th at Hart Recital Hall! 

Looking to start music lessons?

• If you are ready to start music lessons, now is a perfect time! With our Hybrid Lesson Model, our music instructors can meet you at the studio OR via Zoom for your lessons- whichever YOU prefer!!!
