The Luck of Hushabye 🍀

This St. Patrick’s Day, we’re feeling extra lucky—not because of four-leaf clovers or pots of gold, but because of the incredible families, babies, and supporters who make up the heart of Hushabye Nursery. True luck isn’t just about chance; it’s about community, compassion, and the belief that every baby deserves a healthy start.

Every day, we see the magic of love, care, and resilience turn challenges into hope. And thanks to you—our supporters, partners, and friends—we continue to provide a safe and nurturing space for babies and families impacted by substance use.

So, as we celebrate all things green and lucky this month, we want to send a heartfelt thank you for being part of the Hushabye family. Because when we come together, we create the kind of luck that truly changes lives. ☘️💚

Asking for help is one of the hardest decisions someone can make, but for Ruth, there was no looking back once she made the choice. “I learned that it is never too late to make a decision to change my life.”

Family Spotlight

Ruth is extremely grateful that Hushabye Nursery was there for her and her precious new daughter, Alaura Jean, because just a few years earlier, Ruth was struggling with her addiction when she discovered she was pregnant with her son. “I had no one.” Ruth knew this pregnancy would be different. The first step was getting help. She heard about Hushabye at Community Medical Services in Lake Havasu.

With love and encouragement from Hushabye, Ruth has become a woman who is proud of herself and the family she fought for. “I’m happy to say that I’m living my best life. I have my son and daughter with me and making amends with the people I’ve hurt.” After taking Alaura Jean home, Ruth enrolled in a course with Patina Wellness Center so she could earn parental rights to her son, who is four. “I was so excited to call Kelsey (my case manager) to tell her. She also helped me get involved with a support group.”

From organizing staff celebrations, baby showers, and thoughtful gifts, Sue ensures that every team member feels valued, appreciated, and celebrated. She promotes a culture where employees truly love their jobs, and that kind of impact is immeasurable.

But her contributions don’t stop there—Sue is a champion for Hushabye’s mission. She shares our story with family, friends, and community members, inspiring many to become donors and supporters. Her enthusiasm for marketing and fundraising has been instrumental in bringing new resources to sustain and grow our impact.
