Science Museum of Minnesota Sensory-Friendly Sunday
Families and individuals affected by autism are invited to participate in the Science Museum of Minnesota's Sensory Friendly Sunday on Aug. 26 beginning at 9 a.m. The event will include accommodations such as lower video volume in the Race exhibit, lights up and lower volume in the Omnitheater, an additional quiet space on level 2 and an early open so that there aren't as many visitors in the building. The reduction in sensory stimuli will hopefully enable many visitors on the autism spectrum to have a more enjoyable visit to the Science Museum. AuSM will be on site to support visitors and offer resources. Cost: Regular entrance and Omnitheater fees apply.  Click here for more information  about accommodations, accessibility, and social narratives and guides.
