We’re thrilled to share the incredible results of our first-ever Spring Showers for Dignity Challenge—and it’s only possible because of this amazing community!

Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of individuals and the enthusiastic participation of dozens of teams, a total of 270,175 essential hygiene items were donated to support local schools. What an amazing way to provide hope and dignity to our students!

A huge shoutout to KMBC 9 News for helping spread the word and collect donations all throughout April. And a very special thank you to The Loretto Foundation, whose generous gift pushed us across the finish line in a big way.

Congratulations to our Hygiene Challenge winners! These top-performing organizations led their divisions and made a life-changing impact for thousands.

A Volunteer Surge is Fueling Big Impact

April was a phenomenal showing of community service through volunteering. Giving the Basics hosted 518 volunteers during the month, one of the highest months we have ever had! 

The month included the seventh annual Creative Planning event, where nearly 150 volunteers came together to pack tampons and toothbrushes. 



Creative Planning’s CEO, Peter Mallouk, has long championed this cause, emphasizing that hygiene isn’t just about cleanliness—it’s about opportunity.
