Your TDF Update: February 2026

Even though it's already February, we’re excited to share the news of several grants awarded at the end of 2025, along with stories from this year's Young Rider Dream Program trip to Wellington. Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful donors, all of these riders are heading into the year with new opportunities ahead!

Big Goals, Bright Futures

TDF's 2026 Dream Program Takes on Wellington

Dream Program participants with Olivia LaGoy-Weltz

TDF’s Dream Program gives promising young riders the chance to immerse themselves in the highest levels of the sport. In January, five young riders traveled to Wellington, Florida, for an unforgettable week of learning from top riders, judges, and trainers.

"There was so much to be inspired by, and so much to learn from, and I gained a wealth of knowledge that will serve me well into my future," said participant Grace Davis (CO). "Thank you for giving a rider like me the opportunity to step into the unknown and open my eyes to the incredible horizon that awaits me in my future career. I know that it will not be easy, and it will take plenty of hard work and patience. But being selected for this program shows me that dreams do come true if you believe in them--and yourself--enough."

Education for Instructors Strengthens the Sport

Grants from our Major Anders Lindgren Fund give instructors the opportunity to focus on their education and expand their knowledge, which they bring home to their students.

Congratulations to Danielle Bartos (CO), Mary Burke (WA), Kate Mikulay (MN), and Sarah Silva (NV), who have each received a $4,000 grant!

"The skills and lessons learned through this training will assist with increasing my riding skills, as well as my ability to transfer those valuable 'lessons learned' to each of my dressage students in Washington State. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!" -- Mary Burke (WA)

Spotlighting P.R.E Horses in Top Levels of Competition

We are pleased to announce that the 2025 recipient of the $2,500 Pure Spanish Horse/Pura Raza Española (P.R.E.) Fund grant is Stacey Hastings (NC) with Estatan LHE.

Stacey said, “Estatan LHE came into my life through tragedy and an act of selflessness. My beautiful friend Michele Inman, after being diagnosed with cancer, gave her magnificent P.R.E. Horse stallion to me.

"We will use this grant to further our training, helping us to be the best we can be together at Grand Prix. My goal is to have Estatan feel happy, confident, and solid at this level. Thank you so much to TDF and all the donors! I know Michele is smiling.”
